Estonian Landscape Architects’ Union (EMAL) is the professional organisation of Estonian landscape architects, founded on March 24th, 2003. The main purpose is to represent and promote the profession of landscape architecture profession in Estonia and present Estonian professionals in the world. ELAU is a non-profit organization and since January 2011 is an interim member of the European Federation for Landscape Architecture (EFLA). ELAU is a starter of many local professional events as professional magazine ÕU, international congress, public events promoting the profession, as well as a participant of professional policies working groups.

European Federation for Landcape Architecture (EFLA)

The European Federation for Landscape Architecture (EFLA) is a professional organization for landscape architecture in Europe. EFLA main aims are to promote the profession of landscape architecture at the European level, to represent the profession to the institutions of the EU, the CoE and other pan European bodies and also to provide an active framework for spreading information about landscape architecture both within and outside the profession, with specific reference to maintaining comparably high standards of education and professional practice. EFLA constitutes the European Region of the International Federation of Landscape Architects (IFLA).

Tartu Centre for Creative Industries

The Centre operates as the coordinator of creative industries in Tartu and South Estonia by providing trainings, legal and economic consulting for creative entrepreneurs, as well as business incubation services. The main house started operating in August 2009. The Center held’s in right now small businesses from very different fields. Our conference organizing partner - Estonian Convention Bureau, ECB - provides all manner of help to foreign parties for organizing large or small conferences in Estonia. ECB is a non-profit organisation established jointly by the public and private sectors. ECB is affiliated with International Congress and Convention Association.

Embassy of the Kingdom of Denmark

The most important undertaking of the Embassy is to continuously strengthen the political and economic relations between Denmark and Estonia. it functions under the Trade Council, which again is a part of the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as part of a regional collaboration comprising also the Danish Embassies in Finland, Latvia and Lithuania. The Embassy supports different cultural exchange projects and cultural events. Embassy supports the visit of one of the keynote speakers Jan Gehl.

Tallinn University of Technology - Tartu College

Our partner is one of the universities where Estonian landscape architects are educated and graduated since 2006 (Bachelor and Master Programs). Tallinn University of Technology (founded in 1918) is the second largest university in Estonia providing an interdisciplinary higher education and technological development. Tartu College, where landscape architecture is educated, is a branch of Tallinn University of Technology with its own board, curricula and students, located in its own campus. The mission of Tartu College is to provide university-level education and co-ordinate research work and development projects supporting the development of South-Estonian region in the fields of engineering and sustainable technology.

Cultural Endowment of Estonia

Cultural Endowment of Estonia (Eesti Kultuurkapital – short: Kulka) is publicly legislated organisational body, who’s main goal is to support arts, folklore, physical culture, and construction and renovation of sports and cultural venues through purposeful distribution and collection of financial resources. We are one of the recipients of Kulka grant.

Enterprice Estonia

Enterprise Estonia (EAS), established in 2000, promotes business and regional development in Estonia. Pursuant to the accession of Estonia to the European Union, Enterprise Estonia became one of the implementing units of the European Union structural funds in Estonia. EAS works in order for Estonia to have a good reputation and a business environment among the best in the world. One of the granted by EAS projects is our congress.

Ministry of Culture

Within the Estonian Government, the Ministry of Culture is responsible for organising and coordinating state cultural policy. The task of the Ministry of Culture is to make sure that necessary and favourable conditions, both legislative and financial, are created for the functioning of culture, heritage and sports from the culture professionals’ as well as the general public’s point of view. NordPlus Adult

Nordplus Framework Programme is a collaborative educational programme of Nordic Council of Ministers. Its aim is to develop and support educational collaboration between Nordic and Baltic countries in all fields of lifelong learning. Adult is a programme to support education for adults. Both Latvian and Lithuanian speakers are brought to the congress using the support given by Adult programme.

NordPlus Horizontal

Nordplus Framework Programme is a collaborative educational programme of Nordic Council of Ministers. Its aim is to develop and support educational collaboration between Nordic and Baltic countries in all fields of lifelong learning. Horizon is a cross-border programme. A production of joint Baltic landscape architect’s film about cities is funded through Horizon programme.

Topos Magazine

Topos – The International Review of Landscape Architecture and Urban Design shows urban squares, public open spaces, parks and reports on lighting design, competitions, books, events, water management, green infrastructure, ecology and sustainability. International Review of Landscape Architecture and Urban Design, the quarterly publication from Callwey Verlag. The free online newsletters Topos N (monthly) and GaLA (fortnightly) offer regular information on news, events and competitions in the profession. Apart from the professional journals, the editorial office also produces Edition Topos, a series of books on different topics related to landscape architecture and urban design.

Outdoor space magazine ÕU

This magazine deals with processes and entities which surround us daily when we enter outdoor space. We are thinking in different scales, introduce and mediate the ideas that space around buildings have or should have. Word is given to landscape architects, architects, geographers, urbanists, activists, nature protectors, writers, critiques, practitioners, and everyone who’s thoughts enable us to rethink outdoor space. First issue of the magazine was published in 2009.

World Landscape Architecture

World Landscape Architecture is a webzine providing landscape architects with news and information about the profession by the profession. It endeavours to promote landscape architecture and increase the public awareness of the profession. World Landscape Architecture seeks to work with landscape architects, allied professionals and the landscape industry to improve the profession across the world. World Landscape Architecture was founded in October 2007 (changed name from World Landscape Architect in early 2011).
